The Literacy Corner
Our Math Intensives are designed to build and strengthen a foundation for successful learning in mathematics. We use a combination of direct instruction, interactive work and practice activities. Many of our practice activities are gamified.
We teach and practice the math concepts in an engaging way in order to create a fluency around math which, in turn, builds confidence in the students. Our tutors create a calm and safe environment where students can feel confident and capable.

Our programs are especially suited for students who have gaps in their math learning, experience dyscalculia, or who just want to get ahead.
LEVEL 1
For ages 10-11 we will cover:

Understanding and repeated review of mathematical terminology

Basic number sense: quick addition/subtraction, estimating, etc.

Thorough Times Table review

Multiplication of single and multiple digits

Both Short and Long Division

Decimals and Fractions

Word Problems
LEVEL 2
For ages 12-13 we will cover:
