Our Tutors

Our tutors are carefully selected and trained to ensure that our students are learning using the best methods available. Our tutors are exceptional when it comes to empowering children to become confident readers using the Orton Gillingham method of learning.

Our Founder

Dana Haynes founded The Literacy Corner in 2015, shortly after the birth of her now 9 year old son.  She is a graduate of Simon Fraser University in Lingustics and Education with more than 20 years of teaching experience. She is passionately committed to using effective, reputable, research based approaches and programs while keeping instruction flexible, engaging and individualized.
