How We Teach

Using the Orton-Gillingham framework, our tutors guide your child through the essentials of reading, writing, and spelling. Each 25 or 50-minute session follows a clear, step-by-step plan, moving from simple to advanced concepts. We incorporate multisensory techniques—like touch, sound, and sight—to enhance understanding and memory. Our engaging online tools make learning enjoyable, and we adapt to your child’s unique style. Sessions occur at least twice weekly, scheduled conveniently before, during or after school, Monday through Saturdays, with a consistent tutor for steady progress.

Steps to Success

We combine proven reading science with your child’s unique needs to drive consistent, noticeable progress. The process starts with a consultation and a thorough reading skills assessment, followed by a detailed written report with tailored recommendations. Next, we match your child with a skilled tutor trained in the Orton-Gillingham method, using visual, auditory, and hands-on techniques that resonate. After each weekly lesson, we provide convenient lesson notes and practice activities to reinforce learning. At a predetermined point outlined in the report and consultation, we conduct a post-assessment to measure growth, refine goals, and begin the cycle anew—continuously building on success with a personalized approach that supports your child in school and beyond.

The Power of Reading

Across the U.S. and Canada, schools are rethinking outdated ‘Balanced Literacy’ methods that fail many readers. The Science of Reading calls for clear, direct instruction—exactly what we provide. Research shows 65% of fourth graders struggle with reading, a skill critical for learning and life. Our Structured Literacy approach helps all students, especially those who need extra support. While schools face resource and training gaps, we step in with proven solutions to bridge the divide.
